Artist statement

I photograph situations and contexts that surround me, that are in the environment that I inhabit and with which I interact. At the beginning, I always accompanied a compact camera to be prepared if scenes arose that I wanted to capture but, little by little, a need to explore more deeply in the emotions that these scenes produced led me to work the spaces in a more methodical way .

My photography exercise has a double motivation. On the one hand I explore my environment with the desire to better understand the places and the society in interaction with them but, after this first act, my final intention is to deepen myself. Each photograph and series is an attempt to fix an unconscious trace that emerges in a weak way but whose sting encourages me to elaborate it.

Fotografío situaciones y contextos que me rodean, que están en el entorno que habito y con el que interactúo. Al principio, siempre me acompañaba una cámara compacta para estar preparada si surgían escenas que quisiera captar pero, poco a poco, una necesidad de explorar con más profundidad en las emociones que me producían estas escenas me llevó a trabajar los espacios de una forma más metódica.

Mi ejercicio de fotografiar tiene una doble motivación. Por un lado exploro mi entorno con el deseo de entender mejor los lugares y la sociedad en interacción con estos pero, tras este primer acto, mi intención final es profundizar en mi misma. Cada fotografía y serie es un intento de fijar un rastro inconsciente que emerge de forma débil pero cuyo escozor me impulsa a elaborarlo.
