The concentration camp in Sachsenhausen (Brandenburg, Germany) began operations in July 1936. Between its walls were imprisoned or assassinated political opponents, Jews, gypsies, homosexuals and Soviet soldiers. Only 30,000 prisoners were killed in the camp archives and this figure does not include the Soviet prisoners who were systematically executed as they arrived in the camp.

The serenity and sharp stillness that the camp looks like today highlights the atrocities and horrors of which it was witness.

El campo de concentración de Sachsenhausen (Brandenburgo, Alemania) empezó a funcionar en julio de 1936. Entre sus muros estuvieron presos o fueron asesinados opositores políticos, judíos, gitanos, homosexuales y soldados soviéticos.
